A packraft adventure for everyone!

The Packraft Trail was born during the COVID pandemic. Borders closed, the pace slowed, and the need for simplicity, nature, and freedom became greater than ever. What began as a necessary alternative grew into a new, successful way of traveling: light, flexible, and close to home.

With everything in a single backpack, you travel on foot and hit the water as soon as the trail ends. No set routes or crowds, just the freedom to explore nature at your own pace. The Packraft Trail invites you to slow down and travel mindfully; with minimal resources, you create a maximum experience.

Together with our team and local partners, we continue to refine our routes and destinations, and we’re constantly on the lookout for new areas to create unique packraft adventures.

The People Behind the Project

Our team consists of four outdoor enthusiasts who are passionate about paddling and nature trips. Together, we work year-round on The Packraft Trail to offer you the most unique travel experience, one that we hope will become a lifelong memory.

Why travel with The Packraft Trail?

The Packraft Trail, a concept by Travelbase

We are not a standalone project, but part of Travelbase, an experienced travel agency that sends more than 50,000 people on adventures worldwide every year. With more than 10 years of experience in adventure and active travel, Travelbase guarantees strong organizational support, local partnerships, and authentic experiences.

Travel with a Positive Impact

At The Packraft Trail, we believe in travel that has a positive impact.

Through our own Butterfly Foundation, we support dozens of social and environmental projects around the world.

Every year, we organize our own river cleanups, but we also partner with various local organizations at all our destinations that are working to make a difference in their regions.

When you book a trip with us, you’re supporting projects that truly make a difference.
